About the Company

The company Modul can be found in Slovenia in Slovenj Gradec, under the slopes of the green Pohorje. Our production program is adapted to the needs of customers and devided into the following areas:

Production of complete board games and items for game industry for a well-known European customers,
Injection molded plastic parts for standard board games or custom made items for the individual customer for other industry,
Assembling

The company Modul was founded in June 1989. It developed from a craft workshop with three employees up to company with 75 employees, which delivers well known European companies in game and other industry.

In 1990, business connections with companies in game industry in Germany were made, also with the second largest toy factory at that time in Germany.

The collaboration required a partial reorientation of the production program. In 1991, we started producing plastic products for toys. We achieved even greater changes and progress in 1994, when we received the first machine to produce cardboard toy boxes.

This also required training our employees on the laminating machine. With the acquisition of the mentioned machines, we got the opportunity to finalize the toys production. The result was a big jump in production, both in terms of production and financial realization. Till today we expanded the production: both cardboard and of plastic products, what acquired an additional new machines for laminating, box production and additional also for injection molding. Thus, our production capacity has increased significantly.

In 1990, we established business contacts with companies from the gaming industry in Germany, including the second largest toy factory at that time in Germany. The cooperation required a partial redirection of the production program. In 1991, we started producing plastic products for toys. We made even greater changes and progress in 1994, when we got the first machine for making cardboard boxes for toys.

This also required training our employees to use the laminating machine. With the acquisition of the mentioned machines, we got the opportunity to produce complete board games. The result was a big leap in production, both in terms of production and financial realization. To this day, we have expanded production: both cardboard and plastic products, acquired additional new machines for laminating, injection molding and additional screen printing machines. Thus, our production capacity has significantly increased..

Due to the quality and capacity requirements, we have purchased new, more modern lines for laminating boxes and flat laminating machines.

A very important investment in a machine for flat lamination of elements was a leap forward and today we can prepare a complete cardboard product – complete game - for our customers. With the quality of the products on the cardboard department, we can stand alongside the highest quality European manufacturers.

With the purchase of a new laminating box machine, we deepened the maximum outer height of the boxes to 210 mm. A very important investment– an automatic puzzle crusher – enables a more profitable production of puzzles, as we replaced workers and manual packaging with this machine.

We have also significantly updated the park of injection molding machines, which we equipped with robots, thus achieving an increase in productivity with a lower consumption of labor.

Today, the main activity of our company is the production of games, cardboard components for board games, as well as for other purposes – high luxury boxes; the production of plastic elements for the needs of board games and the production of other plastic products as technical elements. We also do assembling of different kind of products in accordance to customers needs.

The production is completely adapted to our customers - we make the packaging according to the needs and wishes or just the ideas of the client; if desired, we fill it with the selected content, equip it with instructions and a bar code and vacuum seal it in a protective film. Due to the various activities united under one roof, as well as the possibility of manufacturing tools for laminated, punched, injected parts, we can prepare a complete solution for customers in individual segments and offer a complete product, which the customer can directly transfer to the consumer from our address, or we can manufacture only an individual part of the final product.

We work in accordance with the EN ISO standard.
